Solana and Copy Trading Glossary

Understand the terms used across PumpCopy without treating a definition as financial advice or a claim that a feature is currently available.

01
Bonding curve
A formula or market mechanism that relates a token's price to supply or reserves during a defined trading phase.
02
DEX
A decentralized exchange or on-chain trading venue that lets users trade through blockchain programs rather than a conventional broker.
03
Liquidity
The available market depth for buying or selling an asset. Thin liquidity can create high price impact or make an exit difficult.
04
Meme coin
A token whose value is often driven mainly by attention, community, humor, narrative, and speculation.
05
Memecoin
An alternate spelling of meme coin. It refers to the same broad category of highly speculative, attention-driven tokens.
06
P&L
Profit and loss. Realized P&L comes from completed disposals, while unrealized P&L depends on a current valuation of open holdings.
07
Priority fee
An optional Solana transaction fee intended to improve scheduling priority during network demand. It does not guarantee confirmation or price.
08
Pump.fun
A Solana-based token creation and trading ecosystem commonly associated with meme coin markets. PumpCopy is independent from Pump.fun.
09
PumpSwap
A trading venue name associated with the Pump.fun ecosystem. Venue mechanics and fees should be verified from current first-party information.
10
RPC
Remote procedure call infrastructure used by applications to read blockchain data and submit transactions to a network.
11
Slippage
The difference between an expected trade price and the effective execution price, often caused by market movement or price impact.
12
SOL
The native asset of the Solana network, used for transaction fees and other network activity.
13
Solana
A public blockchain network that records accounts, transactions, programs, and token activity.
14
Stop loss
A rule intended to exit when a price or loss threshold is reached. Fast markets, gaps, or low liquidity can prevent the intended outcome.
15
Take profit
A rule intended to reduce or close a position after a specified gain or price threshold is reached.
16
Token mint
The unique Solana address that identifies a token definition. Similar names or symbols can refer to different mints.
17
Trader
A person, account, or wallet whose activity includes buying or selling assets. A wallet address alone does not prove a person's identity.
18
Wallet
Software or hardware that manages blockchain keys and signs messages or transactions. A public wallet address can be shared; a private key or seed phrase must remain secret.
19
Wallet tracking
The process of organizing public activity associated with a blockchain address. Tracking does not reveal complete financial context or future intent.
