Metric definitions and limits

PumpCopy Methodology

PumpCopy's methodology separates observed blockchain facts from classifications and calculated metrics. Performance figures will not be published as authoritative until transaction coverage, inventory accounting, transfers, fees, realized and unrealized outcomes, and reconciliation quality meet documented gates.

Observed facts and derived fields

A signature, slot, address, and token balance change can be observed. Trade side, venue, cost basis, realized P&L, win rate, and wallet quality are derived and depend on supported classification rules.

  • Observed: signature and time
  • Classified: supported buy or sell
  • Calculated: cost basis and P&L
  • Scored: quality only after validation
02

P&L and inventory accounting

Realized P&L requires matched acquisition and disposal lots plus fees. Unrealized P&L depends on a valuation price and available liquidity. Transfers can make cost basis unknown. Unknown inputs must remain visible rather than treated as zero.

03

Costs included in analysis

Metric design must account for PumpCopy fees when applicable, network and priority fees, venue costs, slippage, and price impact. Gross token movement is not a net return.

  • Buy and sell fees
  • Network costs
  • Venue costs
  • Slippage and price impact
04

Time windows and selection effects

A wallet can look different across seven days, thirty days, and its full supported history. Rankings also create selection bias if only active winners are retained.

  • Show the covered time window
  • State supported venues
  • Expose missing history
  • Avoid annualizing short periods

Current publication status

Public trader rankings remain unpublished and nonindexable. PumpCopy will not publish live performance claims until data quality, reconciliation, metric definitions, and review procedures are operating together.

Independent by design
